For more than 10 years, former cast members from The Real World and Road Rules have been competing on The RW/RR Challenge: a semi-annual game show spin-off with gazillions of dollars to win.

Every Challenge has a new cast, a new enviable location, and a new catch. The Ruins — the 19th installment, taking place in picturesque Phuket, Thailand — pits 14 previous Challenge winners (Champions) against the 14 Challenges, none of whom have ever tasted victory.

Before every mission — each of which is worth a whopping $20,000 to be divvied up among the winning team members — both teams nominate three players of each gender to potentially go into The Ruins. In addition to accumulating more money, the winners have the privilege of choosing who, one male and female from each team, dukes it out in the elimination round, most likley something brutally physical in a gladiator-style sandpit if past Challenge seasons are any indication. Winning The Ruins, you stay on the show and your individual bank account is safe, and you're also entitled to all the money won by the player you just beat. After nine challenges and 18 people leaving Thailand, the tenth challenge is a final showdown worth an additional $120,000.
